Ingredients

"Oh, Boy!  Looks like more treats are in the works!"

Mix wet ingredients together

Put peanut butter in bowl

Add flour to peanut butter

Then add cornmeal and oats

Mix wet ingredients with dry ingredients

"I think I'll have a snack while I wait."
"I know.  I know.  I'm a messy eater."

Form dough into a ball

"Did she say dough?"

"Is that ready for me to taste?"

Roll out dough on a floured surface

Cut into shapes

Spray baking sheet lightly with cooking spray

Place cut out dough onto cookie sheet

"Those look nice.  I could try one if you'd like."

Place cookie sheets in oven at 400 degrees

Bake 20 minutes. "Are you sure?"

"I think they smell like they are ready!"

After 20 minutes turn oven off and let biscuits cool
in oven until they are hard and crisp
"They have to stay in there?"

"Are they hard and crispy yet?"

This process takes quite a long time

Lots of waiting but it will be worth it

"I hope you are right about that."

After they have cooled, take out of oven

"Those look pretty tasty."
"I hope I can taste one soon!"

Place cooled treats in an airtight container

"Please can I have one now!?!"

This picture is blurry because she was faster
than the camera.  "YUM!"

"I wish I could reach that container."

"I wonder how long I have to wait
until I can have another?"

Here is the full recipe:
½ cup water
½ cup oil
2 eggs
3 Tablespoons peanut butter (I like to use natural or organic)
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups wheat flour
½ cup cornmeal
½ cup oats
Blend wet ingredients together.  Mix dry ingredients together and mix into wet mixture to form a ball of dough.  Roll out dough and cut into shapes.  Put onto a non-stick lightly greased cookie sheet.  Cook 20 minutes at 400 degrees.  Turn off oven and allow the biscuits to cool in oven until crisp and hard.  Store in an airtight container.
