4th of July Cheesy Stars

Jenny, tomorrow is the 4th of July!
"Uh, OK."

That's a great reason to make some treats!
Here is what we need.

"Did you say...treats!?!"

Just mix cheese, milk, and flour together.
"I love cheese."

Then turn the dough out onto a floured surface.
"Dough is one of my favorite words."

Then roll out the dough with a rolling pin.
"Excuse me, I think I need to taste test."

Then place the cutouts onto a lined cookie sheet.
Don't the stars go well with the 4th of July flowers?
"Um, I never got my taste."

They have to bake first.  It should take 10 to 15 minutes.
"Of course."

While we wait let's have a look at that
4th of July collar!

"There's no time for that...I heard the timer go off!"

You're right, but they need to cool.
"You're testing my patience aren't you?"

OK. Here you go.
"Finally."

These 4th of July Cheesy Stars look pretty good.

"I wish I could have some more."

Here is the recipe:
1/2 cup shredded cheese
1/2 cup milk
1 cup flour (I used oat flour)

Mix all ingredients until they form a dough.  Roll out on a floured surface and cut into desired shapes.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes.  Cool.  Store in the refrigerator.

Pumpkin FroYo Cubes

It's hot out here, isn't it?
"Uh Huh."

The water isn't cooling you off enough?
"Gulp, Gulp."

"Can we go in and have a snack?"

OK

Let's make Pumpkin FroYo Cubes.  It
only takes two ingredients, pumpkin and yogurt.

Just mix some pumpkin in with the yogurt and stir.
"Smells yummy."

"I'd like to have some now, please!"

Spoon mixture into ice cube trays.

After the ice cube trays are full,
place in the freezer for a few hours.
"A few hours?!?"

Yes, they are in the freezer.  You have to wait.
"Boo."

When they are frozen just pop the cube out and serve.
"Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness!"

Jenny, you know you are not supposed to
be on the counter.  That's better.

Enjoy!  Hope that is cool and refreshing for you.
"MMMM"

Jenny's Present

Jenny, what do you have on?

Do you want to show everyone what you got
for your birthday from Grandma & Grandpa?
"I suppose."

Jenny has never worn clothes, never wanted to
wear clothes, but she got this present for her
birthday and she looks so cute!
"Um, I can't move my legs very well."

You kind of look like a wiener dog in that.
"Well, they are cute so that's ok with me."

"Why do you keep looking at me?"

Do you want to take it off?
"Yes, please."

Happy 8th Birthday, Jenny!

"You say it's my birthday...does that mean treats?"

Yes!  I am going to make you some pupcakes.

Since it's your birthday, I'll let you sit
on something comfy while you wait.
"Why can't I just leave this bed in the kitchen?
It smells nice in here."

First mix the egg, honey, peanut butter, and applesauce.
"I think I'll take a little nap."

Stir in shredded carrots.

Then, stir in the flour and baking soda.

Line 6 cups of a muffin pan.

Fill cups with batter.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
"I can see the oven just fine from here."

Just wanted to zoom in our her birthday attire.

While the pupcakes bake,
mix cream cheese and peanut butter together.

It will have a thick consistancy more like a
frosting than an icing.

Let them cool before frosting.
"They smell so delicious!"

"Please be cool now."

Frost and decorate.  I used a mini milk bone.

Happy Birthday to you...

"nummrarm yumm"

"What's next, presents?"

She has to make sure her head gets all the way in the bag!

"That's it, huh...no more treats?!?"

Here is the full recipe:
1 egg
1/4 cup peanut butter (natural)
1/4 cup unsweetend applesauce
1/4 cup honey
1/2 to 1 cup shredded carrots
1 cup oat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda

Mix all ingredients together.  Place batter in lined muffin tin.  Bake in a 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes.
To make frosting: mix 4 oz. cream cheese with peanut butter
Cool and frost pupcakes
